About WWS

Watoomba Web Services (WWS) has been providing an online education in Web Interface Design for Australia since 1995. By using the web as it's sole education delivery method WWS allows it's students to study and learn at their own individual pace. Face to face consults with teaching staff are available to students who require them but generally it has been found that students instead prefer to monitor their own studies.

After completing the WWS Web Interface Design course students should have gained:

  • An understanding of the importance of and concepts involved in human interface design
  • Know about web standards, languages, tools and interface components
  • Be able to design and create web interfaces by applying the principles learnt to any number of web languages

Assessment

The WWS Web Interface Design course is assessed using a series of assignments each designed to provide students a medium for creating innovative interfaces for web deployment using the theories taught in the reading material and notes.

During this course clients/students will undertake three (3) such assignments. When they are available outlines for each assignment will be provided on the assignments page. Students may complete this assessment either at home or in the WWS labs as is seen necessary. Each assignment MUST be submitted by the due date listed on the assignment outline sheet for a student to pass the course. Late submissions will NOT be accepted under any circumstances other than severe medical illness. Each assignment is designed to reinforce the learning that occurs in class and is therefore essential to the successful completion of the course.

Resources

WWS supplies the following resources to all clients/students partaking in the Web Interface Design course:

  • Appointments for students to consult with teaching staff are available to all students as required

Price

Watoomba Web Services provides this course for the relatively low price of only $A 2,100 for the full year long course including access to all WWS resources.
