14 May 2003 Dear Comp1501 Students, The limit on file numbers for the 2nd Assignment is due to the ITEE on-line submission system. Below is instructions to avoid this problem: - Use a zip program to compress your entire Web site into a .ZIP file. If your Web site has a sub-directory structure (e.g. a sub-directory to store all image files and so on), then compress the top level directory in which all files and sub-directories are included. - Then upload the .ZIP file using the on-line submission service. The on-line submission system counts the number of files that are uploaded, and NOT the number of files contained in any .ZIPs, etc, uploaded - so if you sends a single .ZIP file then it will only count as one file. Also the on-line submission system does not care about the file type apart from that it tries to do a virus scan on the file to clean up any viruses. If the system finds a virus, it explicitly tells you about that. The PCs in the student labs have a program installed that will let you create .ZIPs suitable for submission. Again be sure that no personal information appears on your web site. We will get your student number from your submission through the Web submission process. 12 May 2003
