Monday 18th October – Nandos

Day

I worked.

Night

I drove to Maz’s, then on to Nandos for dinner, and then back to Maz’s to do computer stuff. I stayed up far too late.

Tuesday 19th October – Eagle Boys & A BBQ

Day

I worked.

Night

I had a snooze, then too some Eagle Boys pizza down to Kangaroo Point, where Bronwen and her climbing friends were having a BBQ.

Wednesday 20th October – Earthlings

Day

I worked.

Night

I caught a bus into the city, met Bronwen, and went to “Earthlings” at Tribal Theatre—formerly The Dendy. It was a harrowing documentary on humankind’s dependence on, and lack of respect for, animals, and had some lovely vegan canapés beforehand.

Thursday 21st October – Bronwen’s New Laptop

Day

I worked.

Night

Bronwen and I drove down to the Star Track Express depot at Darra to pick up her new laptop, which she’d addressed to her home address, so couldn’t have delivered. After this, we drove up to Bronwen’s parents’ place, where we had a lovely pasta dinner and Bronwen’s Mum witnessed some paperwork for me, and then fought Dell drivers, trying to install Windows 7 x64 onto Bronwen’s new laptop.

Friday 22nd October – Recent Works

Day

I worked. We had pizza for lunch.

Evening

I picked Bronwen up on the way home, and we went up to the “Recent works by GLENDA CHARLES & GEOFF GINN” gallery opening, before driving into the city and eating a fantastic Govinda’s dinner. I think Friday is my favourite.

Night

Bronwen is installing and configuring software on her new laptop, and shortly, ghosting it. I’m helping, and eating mint aero chocolate.

Saturday 23rd October – Remix

Morning

I got up too early, to go to the West End Green Flea Markets, where it was far too hot. A langos and spring roll later, and Bronwen and I (along with my curry puff) walked up to Milkshake Mania and got one of the best milkshakes in Brisbane.

Afternoon

Bronwen and I drove out to Bronwen’s place, chatted to Julia, and picked up a lot of chocolate, then drove back to my place and on to Indooroopilly where we went shopping.

Night

Bronwen and I found one of the few remaining car parks in Brisbane, and walked across the Goodwill Bridge to River Stage, where we watched most of “Remix”—a hip-hop competition that seems to be predominantly for state schools.

Remix, Riverstage, Brisbane

After Remix, Bronwen and I had curry from Halim’s, which was surprisingly busy, considering it was going on ten o’clock, and I then drove out to Maz’s to help him remove a large workbench off his parents’ ute, and ended up going for a walk and staying up far too late.

3:30am

I got home, had a shower, and went to bed.
