Bronwen and I had a quiet morning at home.
King Island & Wellington Point
Bronwen and I drove out to Wellington Point and walked across the sand-bridge to King Island. It was very windy, but I managed to take Wallace for a short flight—him complaining about the wind all the time.
We’d planned to buy some chips and have lunch before dropping Bronwen off at the Stradbroke Flyer Gold Cat Ferry, but ran out of time and had to rush straight from King Island to the Stradbroke Flyer Gold Cats terminal at Cleveland—only just arriving in time.
After dropping Bronwen off on her way to Stradbroke Island for the weekend, I stopped at Cleveland Coles for a drink and some food, and then headed back to Wellington Point to take some sunset photos.

Colmslie Recreation Reserve
I stopped off at the Colmslie Recreation Reserve to take some photos of the Sir Leo Hielscher Bridges (Gateway Bridges). Interestingly, there was a team of suspicious men who appeared to be training for night water black-op insertions or something similar—they kept taking out two suspiciously-quiet rubber boats in complete darkness, practicing things, then coming back in—all in complete darkness, apart from a few very dim glowstick sort of things which they used to light each other and the boat ramp.
Colmslie Beach Reserve
After taking some photos at Colmslie Recreation Reserve, I made my way to the nearby Colmslie Beach Reserve—which was closed so I had to park on the road and walk down to the beach through the dark park—and took a few more photos of the Gateway Bridges, before heading home.
