74th Independence Day of India and Gold Coast Kite Festival
Bronwen was off on a climbing trip so I was all alone and uninspired and spent the morning lazing about, eventually deciding that I should go out. It now being late, I rushed down to the Gold Coast to have a look at the kites, getting there only shortly before the event finished up. There were, however, still many kites.
QLD/NSW Border
After the kite festival I drove down to the supposedly closed QLD/NSW border in Coolangatta/Tweed Heads, to see if our beloved Premier is telling the truth this time, or if it’s just as unclosed as last time. Not surprisingly, I found that it’s still not closed.
Burleigh Bongos & Fire Twirling
After confirming the premier is lying and the border isn’t actually closed, I drove to Justin’s Park and took some photos of the Burleigh Bongos fire twirlers there.
