Sunday 21st June – Tamborine Mountain Scarecrow Festival
Morning
I lazed about, lazing about.
Afternoon
I drove to Tamborine Mountain for the Tamborine Mountain Scarecrow Festival, which is very steep and foggy, as it turns out. It rained—or at least, fogged very densely—the whole time, making it hard to spot some of the sneakier scarecrows.
Evening
Them: How are you doin?
Me: I am ok, my toe hurts. Nasty leech.
Them: What happened? Oh god. Leeches FREAK ME OUT!
Me: I dunno, I can only assume it was a leech? I was driving along in my motorcar. On the motorway. Just motoring along. When all of a sudden I realised my foot was sticky. Unfortunately, as it was raining and I was motoring along the motorway in my motorcar, I couldn’t look at it until I got home.
Them: Well that’s quite unfortunate.
Me: So once I’d finished motoring along the motorway in my motorcar, and had got home I had a look and it was covered in blood! I immediately thought of Buffy but then I realised it’s just a TV show so I figured it was a leech but the leech was never found. Now however it itches with the ferocity of a thousand suns.
Them: Wow that’s really creepy…
Me: Very small, far away suns I suppose, kinda like a thousand stars.
