Sunday 3rd January – Brisbane Again
Day
Bronwen and I slept in. I have a bit of a sore throat—which seems to happen towards the end of every Woodford Folk Festival. After we’d finally got up, we drove to Toowong Sizzler and had a breakfast/lunch/dinner there, and then drove to Bronwen’s parents’ place, where we had another dinner.
Monday 4th January – Relaxing
Day
I had a quiet day at home, working from home. It rained on and off.
Tuesday 5th January – Little Planets
Day
I had a rainy day, working from home. I made a stack of Little Planets from Woodford, and put up my Woodford journal entry—I’m trying to make journal entries closer to the date they actually occurred, so they perhaps have some relevance to someone, not that anyone actually reads them.

Wednesday 6th January – Exercising
Morning
For some reason either our alarms both broke, or neither of us heard our alarms. Bronwen and I both awoke after nine o’clock, despite both having set alarms to wake at a normal time. I rushed Bronwen into work, and then drove home to work from home.
Afternoon
Starting my new and exciting plan of exercising occasionally, I went for a walk up Mount Gravatt, meeting Natalie at the top, then going for a walk down Mount Gravatt, then back up Mount Gravatt—leaving Natalie at her car—and then down Mount Gravatt and back home. I walked 6.4 kilometres in an hour and 24 minutes, according to my phone.
Night
Bronwen and I went shopping at both Coles and Woolworths (exciting, I know) and had pasta for dinner.
Thursday 7th January – Family Dinner
Day
I worked from home.
Afternoon
I went for a walk up Mount Gravatt again, with Natalie—continuing my attempt at exercise. I did six kilometres in an hour and a half, a lot of which was quite steeply up.
Night
I rushed from the mountain to home, showered, and rushed over to Bronwen’s parents’ place, where I had a delicious dinner with Bronwen’s parents, her cousin Valerie and her husband Mark, and her Aunt and Uncle Brian and Judy. I was very full afterwards.
Friday 8th January
Day
I worked from home. It was quite hot.
Night
I went for a walk up Mount Gravatt—5 kilometres in about an hour today, with an elevation gain of 274 metres apparently, depending on which GPS track I look at.
Saturday 9th January – Sizzler Again
Morning
I worked from home.
Afternoon
Bronwen and I went to Toowong Sizzler for lunch.
Night
I stayed up late working.
