Micro Island Vibe Festival – Back to the Roots
Thursday 28th October – Stradbroke Island
Coronavirus Lockdown Day 585

Stradbroke Island
I finished off my work as fast as I could, then Bronwen and I packed and rushed to the Stradbroke Flyer Gold Cat—arriving just as people were beginning to board the 3:25 PM ferry. Amazingly there was actually some nearby parking for the first time in basically forever, so I was able to quickly park, run back to the ferry, and not miss it. The ferry itself was absolutely packed with school kids however—apparently it’s the school bus ferry at this time of day.
When we got to Dunwich, all the school kids hopped on the bus with us, making it very full and—along with the luggage from the other few people on their way to the festival—squishy.
After surviving the squishy bus and managing to carry our heavy bags up to “The Shed”, I left Bronwen to set up things and walked down the beach to the festival site to have a look.
Micro Island Vibe – Back to the Roots
The festival doesn’t start until tomorrow, but I had a bit of a wander around the site as they were setting up, and had a look at the beach.

Liquid Bliss Yoga
After only a few hours sleep, I managed to get down to the beach by 7 o’clock to take some photos of the yoga.

I spent the rest of the day alternating between the beach, and the festival.

We caught the bus to Dunwich and left the island on the 5:55 PM Gold Cat, getting home around 7.
