Zombies of the Climate ApoCOALypse
I got up horribly early and drove into the city—managing to find parking (at $5.20 per hour) and get to Speakers Corner in time for the zombie’s 7:30 AM arising.
The Extinction Rebellion Zombies gave some speeches, wandered around parliament, actually managed to get into parliament’s grounds for a few moments because—almost unbelievably—someone had forgot to lock the gate, blocked the road and danced the Thriller dance, and then I walked back to my car and managed to get home again just after 9.
Home
I worked from home.
Lightning
I drove Bronwen into her parents’ place, via a house in Greenslopes that was giving away some clothes she had arranged to pick up. There was quite a big storm heading in, so it was a race to beat the storm.
After dropping Bronwen off I tried to drive to Wilson Outlook, but the storm caught up to me and by the time I got there it was solid rain and no point getting out of the car, so I continued on to New Farm Park and tried taking some photos of lightning from there, and from the Powerhouse, but it was mostly too late—the storm had passed.
