Projection problems: 9:10 PM Lone Ranger, Cinema 5, Southbank Cineplex (Wed 9 Jul, 2013)

There was something wrong with the projection at Southbank Cineplex—everything had quite distinct red/blue fringing as if the projector was suffering severe convergence problems. Unfortunately this rendered the movie almost unwatchable—I don’t have the time to go back and see it again, so I stayed to see the storyline, but scenes which were presumably quite spectacular took on a very low-fi retro look, which did not suit the movie at all. It also made my eyes a bit sore.
