Saturday 15th September – Stradbroke Island
Morning
Bronwen and I drove to Cleveland and caught the Gold Cats Cat to One Mile on Stradbroke Island where we met Bronwen’s parents, who drove us to Point Lookout. We then had a relaxing day eating, strolling along the beach, and lazing about.
Night
We all had a lovely dinner at Frank and Shirley’s.
Sunday 16th September – The Straddie Salute Triathlon
Day
Bronwen and I went for an early morning (which wasn’t really that early) walk down to the beach, and took some photos of the “Straddie Salute” triathlon.
Night
Bronwen’s parents drove us to One Mile, where we eventually got the very late Gold Cats Stradbroke Flyer back to the mainland. We had a chat to the captain, who said they were late because they’d had to do two trips up Raby Bay because the government—despite receiving funding to do so—had not yet dredged their mooring.
After getting home, we drove to Halim’s Indian Taj and had a very yummy curry for dinner with Maz.
Monday 17th September – Moonrise Kingdom
Morning
…and I’m back at work again.
Midday
I drove to Natacha’s and we went to Govinda’s for lunch. I then drove her home again, making my lunch hour a little longer than it should have been.
Night
Bronwen and I had leftover curry for dinner, before driving in to the Palace Barracks cinema and watching “Moonrise Kingdom”, which was surprisingly good—a charming and amusing movie.
Tuesday 18th September – Protein Drinks
Day
I worked.
Lunch
I again picked Natacha up and drove her to Govinda’s, and had lunch.
Night
I drove to Woolworths and bought a stack of protein drinks for breakfast. Later, Bronwen and I had pizza for dinner and watched “Top Gear”.
Wednesday 19th September – Forgotten
Day
I worked.
Night
I can’t remember. I think Bronwen cooked pasta for dinner and we had a quiet night at home… but perhaps we didn’t?
Thursday 20th September – Nachos with Ice Cream
Day
I worked.
Night
I drove to The Burrito Bar, arriving late because I couldn’t find where I was supposed to pick Bronwen up from in the city and all the streets were one way—the wrong way. Maz had been waiting for us for a while by the time we arrived I think. Nevertheless, our Tacos were nice—and all of them arrived this time, though for some reason they had different ingredients to usual and no guacamole. Bronwen managed to get our two free small Mexican dessert vouchers we’d got from not receiving our chips last time turned into chocolate nachos with ice cream.
I then stayed up far too late.
Friday 21st September – Govinda’s
Day
I worked.
Night
Bronwen and I went to City Govinda’s, for a change. Bronwen has bought some “two for one” vouchers.
