Saturday 21st November – Sizzler

Day

Due to the predicted heatwave, Bronwen and I decided not to do anything even remotely adventurous, and instead drove to Toowong Sizzler, where we enjoyed a breakfast/lunch in air-conditioned comfort.

After our breakfast/lunch, we drove to Maz’s, where Bronwen replaced her phone battery.

Sunday 22nd November – Cedar Creek

Day

Bronwen and I got up at seven expecting a predicted heatwave, and in order to rush to Maz’s and go and do something early, but it was cool, grey, overcast and looked like rain. We did eventually end up getting to Maz’s a couple of hours later, and did eventually drive out to Cedar Creek Falls (the D'Aguilar National Park one) with Maz, where we walked up the creek and had a swim and took some photos and generally relaxed. It wasn’t too busy when we got there, but by the time we left there were probably twenty or more other people there. In keeping with the predicted heatwave and forecasted zero percent chance of precipitation, it sprinkled on and off and wasn’t too hot.
