My drain bottle was changed early in the morning, as it was full. They hold two litres, so I guess I must have drained two litres of fluid. I was sick and didn’t eat any breakfast, having an X-Ray at 10 AM, which showed that my lung was still not fully expanded, so at 11:20 AM a third chest drain was placed. This was a little unpleasant as I lay in bed having a hole chopped into my chest directly above where it feels as though the heart is. The local anaesthetic which I had been given dulled most of the pain, although a few incisions were agonising and the feeling (which I could feel quite well) of suctions and a tube being placed through a hole and removed a few times, just above the heart, is a little repulsive. I then had another X-Ray that showed the lung still not fully expanded. Still sick and vomiting at lunch so didn’t eat any of that. I drank a half glass of milk for dinner, spewing it up later, and had an OK night.
